Ujjwala beneficiaries can get free domestic cooking gas cylinder till September:

      The Union cabinet approved an extension till end September for availing free cooking gas cylinders under the marquee Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojona (PMUY).

       The earlier announced Pradhan Matri Garib Kalyan Yojona (PMGKY) package included providing women of 83 million below poverty line (BPL) families with free cooking gas cylinders for three monthsunder the Ujjwala scheme.

      Given that the approved scheme was to end in June, the petroleum ministry proposed for time extension by three months for the Ujjwala beneficiaries to avail the free cylinders.

        Pradhan Matri Ujjwala Yojona:    Pradhan mantri Ujjwala Yojona is a scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for providing LPG connections to women from Belowv Poverty Line(BPL) households. Under the scheme, an adult women member of a below poverty line family identified through the socio-Economic Caste Census(SECC) is given a deposit-free LPG connection with financial assistance of Rs. 1600/- per connection by the center. Under this yojona, 8 Cr cooking gas connection were provided to poor women in less than 3 years. Recently Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country achieve the goal set by prime minister Narendra Modi during the launch of Ujjwala Yojona for providing a cooking gas connection to every household in the country.

'Fit Hai to Hit Hai India' under Fit India Campaign launched:


       In the presence of P V Sindhu (Olympic Silver Medalist) and Sunil Chetri (all time top goal scorer of Indian National Football team), 'Fit Hai to Hit Hai India' program was launched by Ramesh Pokhriyal(Union Minister of Human Resources Development) and Kiren Rijiju (Union Minister of State I/C for Youth Affairs and Sports)

        As a part of the Fit India Campaign, the Fit Hai to Hit Hai India program will be organized. The union HRD Minister stated at the launch event that in various programs under the Fit India Campaign to date a total of 13,868 CBSE affiliated schools from across the country have participated out of which 11,682 have also been awarded the Fit India flag. He further added that now at the time of a global pandemic it is equally important for the students to stay fit in order to fight the COVID-19 disease.

         A total of six sessions will be organized until 14th July. Leading sports celebrities will participate in these Talk sessions to share their life experiences from failures, struggles and to success, also will be sharing fitness tips. In the first session on 3rd July PV Sindhu and Sunil Chetri participated.

PM Modi launched Aatmanirbhar Bharat App Innovation challenge


        For building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat using Digital Technologies, an App Innovation Challenge was launched by the prime minister of India Narendra Modi. In Partnership with NITI Aayog's Atal Innovation Mission, the App Innovation Challenge is an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

       Objective of the App Innovation challenge- The objective is to explore the vibrant tech and startup ecosystem that India has by identifying those existing Applications from each respective category(that are already in use in the country), those have the potential to become a world class application.

      NITI(National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog: It is a policy of government  of India, formed to achieve sustainable development goals with cooperative federalism by fostering the involvement of state government of India in the economic policy making process. India and World Bank has signed Agreement for Affordable Housing

The Government of India and World Bank has signed Agreement for Affordable Housing in TamilNadu:

      The world bank and the government of India has signed an agreement along with the Government of Tamilnadu to help the low income groups in the state of Tamilnadu to get access to affordable housing.

      Legal agreements of two projects were signed to strengthen the state's housing sector policies, institutions and regulations. These two project are TamilNadu Housing sector Strengthening programme worth $200 million and TamilNadu Housing and Habital Development Project worth $50 million.

     World Bank:  The World Bank is an International financial institution that provides loans and grants to the government of poorer countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. It founded on July 1944 and Founders are John Maynard Keynes and Harry Dexter white. The headquarter of world bank in Washington DC, United States.

MP Govt launches Hamara Ghar- Hamara Vidyalaya Scheme

1.    Madhya Pradesh launches “Hamara Ghar- Hamara Vidyalaya” Scheme:


        Recently, Principal Secretary Rashmi Arun Shami launched “Hamara Ghar- Hamara Vidyalaya” over a virtual platform to maintain Academic regularity of the students during the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The scheme will start form 6th July 2020.

        The scheme provides a school like environment to the children taught at their home through online classes. It will provide the subject preparation for the teachers of class 1 to 8. The classes will be held from 10 AM to 1PM with 1hours classes for every subject. Under the scheme the school bells will be heard in the student’s house and the teachers will begin the class of the students after the bell.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalayan Yojona (PMGKY) extended till November by the PM Narendra Modi

    Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalayan Yojona (PMGKY) extended till November by the PM Narendra Modi:

        On 30th june , PM Modi announced the extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojona till November. Under Scheme ,over 80 crore people will get 5 kg f wheat or 5 kg of rice per month. He also said that every family also get 1 kg chana every month until NOV,2020. The entire cost of this initiative will cost over Rs. 90000 crore.

   About Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojona: This Scheme is launched by the PM Narendra Modi  in December 2016.

        During the COVID -19  pandemic in India, finance minister announced a Rs. 1.70lakhs  crore relief package under Pradhan Mantri Garib kalayan yojona for the poor.It includes---

i)                    Give Rs500 each women(Jan Dhan account holder)

ii)                To provide free LPG cylinders to poor families for the next three months .

iii)              Give Rs 1000 for senior citizens to tide over difficulties.

iv)              Rs. 50000 crore in Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan for returnee migrant workers.
