The Government of
India and World Bank has signed Agreement for Affordable Housing in TamilNadu:
The world bank and the government of
India has signed an agreement along with the Government of Tamilnadu to help the
low income groups in the state of Tamilnadu to get access to affordable
housing.
Legal agreements of two projects were
signed to strengthen the state's housing sector policies, institutions and regulations.
These two project are TamilNadu Housing sector Strengthening programme worth
$200 million and TamilNadu Housing and Habital Development Project worth
$50 million.
World Bank: The World Bank is an International
financial institution that provides loans and grants to the government of
poorer countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. It founded on
July 1944 and Founders are John Maynard Keynes and Harry Dexter white. The
headquarter of world bank in Washington DC, United States.
