Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalayan Yojona (PMGKY) extended till November by the PM Narendra Modi

    Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalayan Yojona (PMGKY) extended till November by the PM Narendra Modi:

        On 30^th june , PM Modi announced the extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojona till November. Under Scheme ,over 80 crore people will get 5 kg f wheat or 5 kg of rice per month. He also said that every family also get 1 kg chana every month until NOV,2020. The entire cost of this initiative will cost over Rs. 90000 crore.

   About Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojona: This Scheme is launched by the PM Narendra Modi  in December 2016.

        During the COVID -19  pandemic in India, finance minister announced a Rs. 1.70lakhs  crore relief package under Pradhan Mantri Garib kalayan yojona for the poor.It includes---

i)                    Give Rs500 each women(Jan Dhan account holder)

ii)                To provide free LPG cylinders to poor families for the next three months .

iii)              Give Rs 1000 for senior citizens to tide over difficulties.

iv)              Rs. 50000 crore in Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan for returnee migrant workers.
